Heather Gollnick - 5X Ironman Champion
Gollnick was the fastest US woman at the 2004 Ironman Hawaii World Championships. Her first experience with First Endurance was following the 2004 Wildflower 1/2 Ironman where she took 2nd."I took a serving of Ultragen following the race and was really impressed with the flavor and consistency of the product. It went down really smooth, where other drinks are hard to swallow. I was amazed on the following day realizing this was the least sore I had ever been following a 1/2 Ironman"
Gollnick later found equally impressive results with her use of Optygen and EFS. "A car crash left me sidelined for three weeks before Coeur d'Alene, I started using Optygen at that point and can honestly say that it helped me get through the stress of the accident and the intense training I had to put in. I went on to place second at the race - thanks in large part to Optygen's ability to aid my body in dealing with stress."
"I consistently used Optygen and MultiV for 12 weeks leading up to my Ironman win in Louisville and turned in a PR of 9:23. Without question First Endurance offers athletes some of the finest and most effective supplements available. Quite simply-THESE PRODUCTS WORK!"

Michael Lovato - 2x Ironman Champion
Many would consider Lovato as the next US Ironman Star. He has all the tools to become a champion in Hawaii and has proved with his 9th and 17th place finishes that he has the toughness to finish with the best. Already an Ironman champion Lovato is poised to put in his best season yet. "I have been really impressed with the First Endurance products. This year, I had to immediately ramp up to a 32 hour training week and I am amazed at how good I feel. Since I started all the products at the same time, its difficult to tell which is giving me the most benefit, but one thing is for certain. I normally don't feel this good with this much training. Besides their unmatched performance, I really enjoy the flavor and consistency of the First Endurance products."
"Last summer I had the opportunity to do an extreme exercise test in high heat and humidity. My goal was to determine my exact needs during competition. I used EFS, and received A+ marks on all my electrolyte replacement. This drink has everything I need to keep my system in balance while racing in Hawaii.
Many folks have told me that when I hit the mid-thirties, my body was going to stop recovering as well as it did when I was younger. For the past three years, I have been using Ultragen after every hard workout, and I have to say that I am recovering better than I did in my twenties. Part of the reason for this improved recovery is that Ultragen has every necessary component to rebuild my body; the other part is that it's just so easy to use: it mixes fast, it goes down easy, and it's totally portable! As long as I'm racing, I'll continue to use Ultragen on a daily basis.
MultiV has been a part of my daily nutritional routine for the past three years. Despite all the rigorous training I do, and the strain I put on my body, I have not been worn down or sick one time since taking this product. To have such a great blend of all the essential vitamins and minerals in just three pills is not only convenient, it's crucial to staying healthy throughout the Ironman training build.
In the three years I've raced Ironman Arizona, I have notched a first, a second, and a third place. Success at an early race like this requires a short, but focused winter build-up. In the ten or twelve weeks I spend preparing for this event, one consistent element in my routine is taking Optygen. I find it gives me that extra edge in handling the stresses of an Ironman build.
Everyone has their special treat they add to the special needs bag in an Ironman. I have now found my new special treat: PreRace! This supplement is probably the best method of staving off the central fatigue that can be so detrimental to performance late in the marathon. With a scoop of PreRace beforehand, and a scoop during the event, there is very little chance of losing focus. "

Josiah Middaugh - 3x Xterra National Champion
As a rookie Pro everyone new he had the talent to race with the best, last year he proved it by winning the Xterra US National Title and finishing an impressive 3rd at Worlds. Middaugh posted the fastest bike and run splits in the same race twice in 2004 (Keystone & Xterra Nationals). Both times he was training with Optygen and Ultragen and racing using EFS. "Using Optygen in my training, I have noticed that I am able to hold my top end for longer. I have always been a strong runner, but in triathlon I usually go too hard on the bike. With Optygen I am able to maintain a strong run pace even after hammering the bike.
I used EFS on the bike and run. I got stronger and stronger as the race went on and felt unstoppable on the run."

Sarah Haskins
Sarah began using First Endurance products on a recommendation from her coach. Within a few weeks her training and racing went up another level. I began using First Endurance products a couple of weeks ago and was surprised to have immediate results. I used the Ultragen recovery drink post workouts and the Multi-V vitamins pre-workouts, and felt much more recovered than normal the following day. I was ready to have another quality training day again and very pleased with how my body was responding to the supplements. Sarah has found she can train harder and recover better than ever before since starting on the First Endurance products. In the past when I have completed a difficult three week training block, I can feel my body on the verge of an illness. Often, my glands are swollen, and I have to back down my training. Since taking the Mulit-V, I have felt a boost to my immune system and although I am in a hard training block, I dont feel my body is about to come down with an illness. Staying free from illness is critical for the success of an elite athlete.

Julie Swail Ertel
Just two short weeks following Triathlon Olympic Trials, Julie Swail-Ertel contacted First Endurance and let us know of her experience using MultiV. I had a hard month of training in January and my the qualtity of my workouts began deteriorating, presumably due to low ferratin levels. On a recommendation from Bob Seebohar, nutritionist at the Olympic Training Center, Julie started using MultiV. I started taking the Multi-V in March 2008 in an attempt to raise my ferratin levels. I liked that I got a complete vitamin in one product rather than having to take many different vitamins and minerals to meet my nutritional needs. After seeing good results, including winning the Olympic Trials 7 weeks after I began to take Multi-V, I can see that it is a vital part of my training.
Shortly after Olympic Trials, Julie contacted First Endurance because she wanted to try other products. After a three week trial, she was hooked. I found Ultragen Orange Creamsicle is easy to drink after training and really helps me recover. It helps me replenish my glycogen stores and assures I get adequate protein. The addition of MultiV, Ultragen and Optygen have allowed me to improve the quality of my workouts during hard training blocks. I feel very positive that this can make a difference in reaching my goals for 2008 and Beijing.

"I started using EFS in 2007 and it has become a vital component of my training. I use EFS during every bike workout and have seen a huge difference. EFS provides the right electrolyte blend that prevents fading at the end of my workouts. The biggest difference has been during intense bike sessions. Taking EFS allows me to put in a solid effort for the entire workout and finish strong.
Ultragen is the premier recovery drink. Ultragen allows me to recover from intense training and be ready to work hard the next day. Putting in consistent training with the help of Ultragen has allowed me to achieve my goals.
First Endurance products have been a large part of my development. I truly believe in the products and what they can do for your training and racing. I will continue to use First Endurance products in the future because they allow me to get the most out of triathlon."

Justin is a 2nd Year Pro Focusing on 70.3 distance. "Nutritional supplementation is an essential component of any training program when attempting to get the most out of your body. During periods of intense and consistent training, food alone simply will not cut it. And First Endurance develops the ideal products to supplement my training and recovery because they are designed specifically for my pursuits: endurance sports. Too many supplement companies try to straddle the line between supporting endurance athletes and weightlifters and often come up short on both sides of that coin. First Endurance's singular focus - and commitment to clean, scientifically-proven products - allows the company to have a clear objective, resulting in products that represent the pinnacle in endurance nutritional supplementation."

Since using MultiV, one of the things I absolutely love is that my skin is much healthier. While I love the benefits related to my overall health, I am ecstatic to be getting a great source of omega 3 fatty acids; it's important to feel good and to look good!
For years I have really struggled to nail my Ironman race day nutrition. Since I started using the complete First Endurance line, I have been gaining confidence that this will no longer be a problem for me. The staff of experts at FE have offered me invaluable advice on the formulation of my race day plan. I can't wait to race again!
Ultragen has been a great addition to my post-workout nutritional routine. I love that I can easily mix a dose of it to have handy after every hard training session. I'm happy to finally get one fix for all my recovery needs, rather than combining all the necessary components into one big, cumbersome smoothie.
I have been using PreRace since it was first unveiled by the FE. It took me approximately two days to become addicted! I love the pick-up it gives me in the morning, and the fact that it helps me sustain my energy all day long.
Since I began using Optygen, I have noticed that I'm getting a lot more out of my speed sessions. One thing I love to do it turn out some fast times on the track. I really feel a difference in my ability to recover from the harder efforts; and my workouts have been getting faster and faster.

Ultragen is my favorite product from First Endurance. Out of all the various recovery drinks on the market, I can really feel the difference with this one. I feel like it really perks me up and allows me to be ready for the next day. The flavors are really good as well. However, I really feel that the fruit punch is a bit mis-leading on the actual taste. To me, it tastes more like strawberries and creme. I also get great feedback from people in the store who finally give it a try. They usually have gone through multiple other products in that class and won't ever go back once they try the Ultragen. That's as good of a testimonial for me.
Adding MultiV into my normal healthy diet really keeps me from getting sick. I had started taking more vitamins the year before and that seemed to help, but this mixture seems like a great blend for the active individual.
The EFS drinks and bars well balanced for endurance activity. The idea of not only taking in carbohydrates, and actually getting electrolytes is so simple, yet very quickly overlooked with most sport drinks on the market. I really like the consistency in either hot or cold conditions. I also enjoy the flavor.

As an engineer, I tend to analyze - and over-analyze - everything. Fortunately, 1st Endurance helps take nutrition out of that mix leaving me free to spend more time thinking about exactly how many PSI my tires really ought to be.
In an industry dominated by pseudo-science and products often devoid of any research, 1st Endurance is a refreshing change. Their products are well researched, the key ingredients are prevalent in substantial quantities (not in "pixie dust" amounts, to borrow a phrase from Ultragen), and they offer a complete system to support the body through the rigors of training. It's truly invaluable to find a company whose entire product line - top to bottom - works as well as 1st Endurance.
In the buildup to a break through finish at Ironman Arizona in the fall of 2008, 1st Endurance products helped me to train, race, and -most importantly - recover optimally. Optygen and Ultragen helped me manage the inherent stress of preparing for an Ironman, and I had my most consistent training block ever in the build up to this race. EFS was a great for during-workout nutrition, and I was able to maintain high quality even on days where I had multiple hard sessions. During the marathon, I was able to get in more calories than I ever had before by using EFS Liquid Shot, and I ran a PB time by almost four minutes despite somewhat boneheaded pacing. Fortunately, 1st Endurance products are better thought out than some heat-of-the-moment decisions.

The Multi-V/Optygen combo is fantastic. I have recommended it to everyone. My energy level is much improved and I just put in a tough 12 day training stint in Florida and felt amazing the whole time. I have also been using the Ultragen. I know it is supposed to be used for recovery, but I have been using the cappuccino flavor in the morning in a shake with almond milk and a banana to kick start my day. Love it.
